With the Bold, it was believed that the Canadian manufacturer had developed the ultimate family Blackberry. Hypersonic on 3G +, equipped with a GPS, design licked, it has almost everything to please. The Curve 8900 is however not the poor relation of the Curve line. His appearance is more elegant, the spaces have been reduced, giving a better compactness and taken in hand, while keeping an excellent QWERTY keyboard. Lighter and thinner (6mm) that the Bold, it always appreciates the quality of materials used.
In practice, the lack of HSDPA module (3G) is not a problem for receiving mails and browsing. Let us recall that the Blackberry technology servers based on cutting and compressing the data transmitted, especially for mobile devices, the data flow thus appears much lower than with a classic text, while maintaining good battery life (3 / 4 days).
The fact remains that to send pictures, sounds through MMS, email or on behalf of Facebook or Flickr, the operation requires more time. In the absence of 3G/3G, WiFi connection (b or g) is always possible to navigate at high speed …
For aficionados of multimedia nomadic, taking pictures is of good quality (with just a 3.2MP sensor) but the autofocus is not very fast. In macro shots are amazingly sharp.
