For fans of social networks, LG GW520 arrives with his keyboard QWERTY, touch screen and its applications. Only, cannot talk about smartphone because it cannot add new applications. The GW520 is a phone relatively attractive with boilerplate silver finish. It would have preferred the chrome appearance seen in certain Nokia models. Nevertheless, the phone is relatively small and compact, so it hides a keyboard sliding under her hull.
The keyboard is one of the most striking features of this model. The keys are relatively large and widely spaced and you are not likely to support a nearby key. Therefore, it is a pleasure to use for typing SMS and emails, or to enter Web addresses even simply in the browser.
We also appreciated the phone menu system. The screen is customizable by adding widgets, such as the analog clock, music player or a photo slideshow. When it becomes too crowded, you shake the handset and automatically icons align properly. By pressing the blue button at the bottom of the home screen, you access the main menu.
It is divided into four tabs – communication, entertainment, services, and settings. This allows to easily find what you are looking. It is very simple to configure his email account. The Facebook application is a success.
If the ergonomics of the menus is good, however the navigation is painful. Fault on a screen touch resistive (2.8 inches) step quite sensitive to the pressure of the fingers. Need more support to validate a command, and it becomes very annoying in the long run.
It’s still a shame because the screen has a decent resolution of 240 x 400 pixels, and proves very efficient for the display of web pages. The phone has also an accelerometer that automatically switches the screen from portrait to landscape mode when you switch the phone on the side. Wi – Fi step
While the GW520 supports Bluetooth and the 3 G +, LG has neglected the Wi – Fi. Download of data, you are dependent on your package.
The quality of listening to the GW520 is rather good. The listener produces a sound loud and clear. Even the speaker phone mode works well. Your voice is put forward and the microphone captures not noise autour.

With the GW520, LG seeks those who spend their time on social networks. However, this phone offers only the integration of Facebook, and has a very average touch screen which makes the device quite painful to use at times.
